A good breathing exercise is to breathe in &#8216;from your gut&#8217; and through your nose for a slow count of five. Once you have inhale, hold the air for at least 3 seconds. You must always exhale for at least 5 seconds after holding your breath. Repeat this a few times until you start to feel yourself calming down. Start doing your homework. Many times, the reason that we are stressed is because we are not informed about something in particular. When this occurs, our mind starts taking over and filling in the information that we are lacking. What helps here is arming yourself with information. Get your questions answered. Read up on the subject. The more concrete facts that you get, the less your brain will try to create different scenarios for missing information, which will lower your stress level. See a doctor about your sleep habits. It&#8217;s kind of a self fulfilling prophecy because the stress keeps us from sleeping and feeling tired helps feed our stress levels. There are many ways to make your mind and body go to sleep in a natural manner. If these don&#8217;t work for you, seek help from a professional.
